Italian back translation services are used to check the effectiveness of a translation, to ensure that the correct meaning has been conveyed in the process of translation from Italian to English or English to Italian. An illustration of the process, when the original document was in English, is as follows:

• The original document is translated by one Italian translator (from English to Italian)
• The translation is then translated again by a different Italian translator, back to the source language (in this case, from Italian back to English)
• This English translation is then compared with the original English document.

The results are not necessarily the identical text of the original translation, but the meaning of the original document should come across. Upon request, for an additional charge, our agency is happy to use this technique whenever high level Quality Assessment is required.  It is not an exact science and there will often be discrepancies between the original document and the back translation, but these can effectively be used to identify potential issues.
